What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? -Script

Well to start of you might ask: What does a production company do? Well.....A production company manages the filming of a movie from screenplay to release. This includes all the scheduling, scripting, the cast and setting, the organization of staff. The production itself consists of post-production, distribution and then marketing. It's main concerns are managing the budget of the film and supervising all the legal concerns that it might have. Examples of big production companies may include Warner bros. and Fox search light. A production company could also be completely independant like Lionsgate.

A distribution company is a company that will release the film to different cinemas and release it for home viewing on things such as DVD, Blue Ray or even T.V. They also have to make sure the film is well advertised to make sure that they get the most people going to watch and buy their films.

Therefore i would like my film to be distributed by Summit Entertainment as they are a pretty big compay so they will be able to give a big budget for the movie which will make it a better movie. Also they distributed the film 'Never back down' which is a film with a similar story line so the fans will be more likely to watch our movie aswell.

The money to make a film such as our would either come from the directors and producers if its a low budget film. However if we will need a lot of money to make our film then we would have to borrow money from the bank or big companies that are interested in investing in our film.

In our movie we have made a few credits and titles and we have the actors coming up first as they were the biggest part of the movie. Then we put in the production and distribution companies and then finally people who casted it and all the producers and costume designers. We have chosen to have the names of these people as we felt like they played an important part in the making of our film and we felt like they should be recognised for it.
